Becken develops first residential project in Munich
  • First project in Nymphenburg follows branch opening in July 2016
  • 34 exclusive condominiums are being built in ROMANPARK
  • Further property acquisitions in the Munich area under review

Hamburg, November 16, 2016 - After Hamburg, Berlin and Frankfurt, the Hamburg-based real estate company Becken, a specialist in the financing, development, realization and long-term management of commercial and residential properties, is planning its first residential project in Munich. Becken is developing four city villas in a prominent park setting on a plot of land measuring almost 5,000 square meters in the sought-after Nymphenburg district by 2018. "The ROMANPARK project combines a convenient inner-city location with the quiet character of a park and a respectable stock of old trees. We want to preserve this and are therefore refraining from densifying the area," explains Stefan Spilker, Managing Director of Becken Holding.

Sales of the 34 high-quality condominiums with a gross floor area of 3,700 square meters are scheduled to start in spring 2017. At ROMANPARK, Becken is building ten spacious garden apartments with corresponding special use areas within the park as well as five penthouse apartments with roof terraces. The living spaces of the one- to six-room apartments vary between 35 and 145 square meters. In addition to the four-storey building along Romanstrasse, park villas with three storeys and an underground garage with a total of 35 car parking spaces and 72 bicycle parking spaces are planned.

In the 2016 city ranking by WirtschaftsWoche and ImmobilienScout24, Munich was named the best city in Germany for the 13th time in a row. Sabine Mösch, branch manager of Becken in Munich, comments: "Munich stands for quality of life. The city offers the best economic conditions for attracting new companies. This in turn leads to rising population figures and increases the demand for residential and commercial real estate."
